Danielle Marie is the founder of I Woke Up Curley LLC, a Texture Technician and Cosmetology Educator dedicated to helping women understand and confidently care for their natural hair.

Her work grew from recognizing the gap between learning how to style natural hair and learning how to properly care for it. Through personalized hair analysis, practical regimens, product education, and hands-on instruction, Danielle Marie helps clients move beyond guesswork and make informed decisions that support their long-term hair health.

Her goal is not simply to create a finished style, but to ensure each client leaves with greater understanding, useful tools, and the confidence to care for her hair between appointments.

Our Philosophy

We believe you should be empowered to understand your own hair—not made completely dependent on a stylist. Healthy hair begins with understanding how moisture, strength, scalp condition, product selection, technique, and consistency work together.
